Hertz has been in the audio industry for over 50 years now. Founded in 1979, this Italian audio manufacturer competes with the top tier U.S. companies like JL Audio and French company Focal. The editors at CarAudioNow frequently feature Hertz's products on their top-lists and have worked first-hand with their products in the field for years now.
The Energy series is Hertz's mid-entry level speakers. It's reasonably priced but packs a punch and features some of the great features that their High Energy series does. The ESK 163L set is a 4-way component speaker that comes with 2 6.5″ woofers, 2 EMV 4″ midrange speakers and 2 1″ tweeters. Each speaker set handles 125W RMS and 375W Peak power. Given the 4-way system they're a great full-range system although we'd recommend adding in a subwoofer to round out the lower frequencies. These are best for those who are looking to amplify their system.
