Installation & How-To New Car Stereo Products

For several years now, integration with the latest technology with improved user friendliness has been at the top of Pioneer’s priorities. Adoption of iPhone and Android phones has become a must, and Bluetooth connectivity a necessity. The new 2013 line of in-dash car receivers have tons of features, as well as improved  features that will bring your car entertainment to a new level. Here are some of the key features that have been improved and added:

MIXTRAX – Pioneer’s exclusive MIXTRAX feature is included in the DEH-X3500UI model and higher to deliver a unique DJ-like listening experience. MIXTRAX takes the music from an iPhone, iPod touch, USB device, or certain Android devices and plays it back with added transitions and effects, creating a virtual DJ inside the Pioneer receiver. Following the beat of the music, the feature also includes six patterns of club-style illumination to enhance the mood with a dynamic dance club-like lighting effect.

PANDORA INTERNET RADIO – The extremely popular Pandora internet radio continues to be part of the new single CD line-up to provide a unique music experience tailored to the user’s preferences. Once the Pandora app is launched from an iPhone connected to the CD receiver, song and artist selection can be controlled directly from the receiver.

ANDROID SUPPORT – New for 2013 models, Android™ smartphone music support is possible via USB connection. Users of compatible Android smartphones can listen to music stored on their devices and utilize Pioneer’s unique MIXTRAX music effects.

A feature derived from Pioneer’s innovative AppRadio, Advanced App Mode for iOS is now available in all 2013 multimedia DVD receivers (compatible iPhone®* and appropriate Pioneer accessory cable required, sold separately). Through their large WVGA LCD touchscreen displays combined with the free of charge Pioneer AppRadio App, users can easily view and control compatible third-party apps* installed on their compatible iPhone** devices, expanding the receiver’s functionality to more than just a traditional car receiver. More than a dozen smartphone-based apps optimized for in-vehicle use are available (see complete list on
